Slack Channels

We set up an easy to use Slack Workspace with channels that will help you have a great experience during this hackathon.

Please respect others and don’t spam those channels.

    • #01-communication: Here you will get news during the whole hackathon (everyone who joins slack workspace is added in this channel by default). Raise doubts, ask for help in regional channels
    • #01-scrumteams: Use this channel to connect with all other participants. This channel will not be actively moderated by the organizers
    • #01-looking-for-a-team: if you are looking to form a team, use this channel with specific asks. It is best to post some details of your project idea and what type of team members you are looking for
    • #01-apis: Here we will share the list of all APIs through a google doc
    • #01-americas-scrum – this is where all information about checkpoints will be shared for the Americas region. This is also the best channel to raise queries and interact with scrum master. Keyword to be used to get help (needhelp-mentors, needhelp-teamformation, needhelp-tools, needhelp-rules, needhelp-submission, needhelp-tools, needhelp-others)
    • #01-apac-scrum - this is where all information about checkpoints will be shared for the APAC region. This is also the best channel to raise queries and interact with scrum master. Keyword to be used to get help (needhelp-mentors, needhelp-teamformation, needhelp-tools, needhelp-rules, needhelp-submission, needhelp-tools, needhelp-others)
    • #01-emea-scrum - this is where all information about checkpoints will be shared for the EMEA region. This is also the best channel to raise queries and interact with scrum master. Keyword to be used to get help (needhelp-mentors, needhelp-teamformation, needhelp-tools, needhelp-rules, needhelp-submission, needhelp-tools, needhelp-others)
    • #01-channeldirectory: A full list of all channels we offer and what their scopes are. You can search for the channel you are looking for by typing the name in the search bar on top of the workspace

(Note: We prefixed these channels with “01” so that Slack sorts them to the very top for you)

Working with your team in Slack

Once the team gets a confirmation, the Team Lead should create a channel in Slack. In Slack you:

  1. Create a channel with the name #team-your-team-name (this will be your team’s channel / workspace).
  2. Invite all your team members into the slack, and make sure they join your team’s channel.

Feel free to reach chat with us on our Devpost discussion page or on Slack if you have any more questions.

Cheers

Travelscrum Team
